The temporary agency
supplying the employees will:
1. Advise temporary
employees that the operation
of a forklift without proper training is a violation
of the law, and could result in unsafe practices, injuries, and civil
penalties.
2. Require that the host employer identify,
beforehand, whether a temporary employee will be required/expected
to operate a forklift.
3. Require that, if
untrained on forklifts, the employee notify the temporary agency
should the employee be requested to operate a forklift by the host
employer.
4. Require that the
host employer provide all training and evaluation records on forklifts
to the temporary employee before the leased employee be permitted
to operate forklifts.
5. Require that copies
of forklift certifications be provided to the temporary agency by
the host employer and kept in the employees records.
How can
Forklift Tech help to train temporary employees ?
The host company which
leases the temporary employees is required to perform the training
and certification of its forklift operators.
We recommend that
the temporary agency Register at ForkliftTech.Com, but rather than
use the name of the temporary agency, use the name of the host employer,
adding (Temp Employees) to the company name. Purchase subscriptions,
create student identities, assign subscriptions to these students,
have the students log in and complete the on line portion of the
training.
When the employee
reports to the host employer, it will only be necessary for a
host host company Forklift Trainer perform the hands on training
of the new temporary employee.
If the host
employer is given the Administrator login information, created by
the temporary agency, the host employer Trainer can record
the hands on training through the website and the temporary employee
is now certified by the host company. The host employer can print
certificates of completion and print all training records. With the
online training already completed, the host company can certify the
temporary employee in only a few minutes.
Since the host employer
and the temporary agency will have the same Administrator login
information, both parties can keep track of all training.
The temporary agency can print all records of forklift training at
any time by logging in as the Administrator.
